Songwriter, Music Producer. Born Ralph Williams, he wrote for many legendary artists, including Etta James' "Two Sides to Every Story" and "Pushover" and David Ruffin's early hit song "Mr. Bus Driver Hurry." He also was an in-house songwriter/producer for Chess Records, helping in the development of the Chicago Soul sound. As a recording artist, Tony had a hit record with "The Entertainer." In 1970 he had a minor role in the film "They Call Me Mister Tibbs!" Cause of death: homicide.
