Born Dec. 19, 1896 in Bath to Clemens L. and Katherine Deverman Niederer, she married Fred E. Porter on March 8, 1942 in Brimfield. He died Aug. 31, 1974. Four brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are three nephews, two nieces, and several cousins.
She was a secretary/bookkeeper at B. B. Barker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
