Falbia Durham, 85, passed away Saturday, September 5, 1998 at the Columbia Kingwood Hospital in Kingwood, Texas. Mrs. Durham was born December 22, 1912, in Colmesneil, Texas and had resided in Colmesneil all her life. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 7, 1998 at 10 am in the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Bethany Cemetery near Colmesneil. Officiating at the services was Brother J. C. Durham.
Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Rodney Durham, John Geelan, Donald Ray Burke, Greg Geelan, Gary Durham, Kenny Wood, Karl Wood, and C.A. Durham, Jr.
Visitation was held Sunday, September 6, 1998 from 4:30-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percell Cliett Durham; son, Fain Durham and her grandson, Kenneth Lynn Durham.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Marilyn Durham of New Caney, Texas, and C.A. and Barbara Durham of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Billie and Preston Geelan of Alvin, Betty and Paul McGhen and Evelyn and George Watson all of Pollock; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
