Funeral services for Cora Alice Durham, 73, of Colmesneil were held Wednesday, January 18, 1984, at 11:00 a.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. E. J. Mills and Rev. J. T. Riley officiating with burial in Bethany Cemetery.

Mrs. Durham passed away at home, January 16, 1984, at 7:30 a.m. following an illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Tyler County. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bower C. Durham of Colmesneil; son, Johnny C. Durham of Jasper; four daughters, Molly Jo Carter, Shirley Ann Young, and Joyce Powell, all of Colmesneil, and Eloise Madden of Dallas; four sister, Lois Benson of Columbus, SC, Mae Durham of Woodville, Falby Durham of Colmesneil, and Effie Reeves of Markham; one brother, Clarence Gibson of Nacogdoches; seventeen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Barry Sutton, Dean Madden, Jr., Randy Durham, Jeffery Durham, David Harper, Rickey Roach, and David Young.
