Chico Record, Sunday Morning, January 24, 1915, pg 1 col 2: Mrs. N.R. Pitts Dies. Biggs, Jan. 25. – Mrs. Nannie R. Pitts, wife of the late A.M. Pitts, a prominent farmer, died at her home near Biggs Saturday night of pneumonia. Mrs. Pitts came to California across the plains in 1860 and had resided in Butte county for over fifty years. She leaves two daughters, Miss Laura Pitts and Mrs. B. Caldwell, and one son, Walter Pitts, all of Biggs.
