Myrtle Lee Combs, 74, of Macclenny, died Wednesday, September 6, 1989. Survivors are three daughters, Helen Brantley, Glen St. Mary, Verna Stewart and Ferrell Robinson, both of Macclenny; 5 sons, James Elwin Combs, Glen St. Mary, Ray Combs, Macclenny, Tommy Combs, Sanderson, Phillip Combs, Jacksonville, and Eugene Combs, Raiford; a foster son, Rowe Wiggins, Lake City, 2 brothers, Roy Rhoden, Jacksonville, Carl Rhoden, Glen St. Mary, sister, Annie Mae Denton, Sanderson, 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Macclenny Church of God, with Rev. F.T. Mason officiating. Assisting will be Rev. Chester Shuppe. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Baker County, with Brinkley-Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, in charge. Mrs. Combs will be in state at the home of her daughter, Verna Stewart, from 2 P.M. Friday until 9 A.M. Saturday.
