Biography

Bessie Marie Jeffries, 68, Neosho, died on Monday, Jan. 12, 2009 at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a two year illness. Mrs. Jeffries was born April 16, 1940 in Goodman, MO, the daughter of J.W. and Emma (Nida) Adams. She was a graduate of Goodman High School, a homemaker and member of Burch Baptist Church. Bessie and Delbert Jeffries were married in 1962 in Miami, OK and he survives. Additional survivors include three brothers, Gene Lane, Don Adams and Bill Adams, all of Goodman, MO and a sister, Rose Boyer, Neosho. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Delbert Adams, Glenn Lane and Johnnie Adams and a sister, Mary Taylor. Services will be Saturday, Jan. 15, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Floyd Barnard will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Billy Don Adams, Bobby Adams, Tom Adams, Tim Adams, Rowdy Cooper and Dell Wasson. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home on Thursday from noon to 5 pm and Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and the family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
