Samuel Noel Edwards, 84 year old retired farmer, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, December 3, 1972, at Mary Immaculate Hospital, where he had been under treatment for a week. Mr. Edwards, who make his home at Gravel Switch, was a native of Marion County, a son of the late Thomas Dent and Sally Frances Floyd Edwards. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. E.C. Brewer of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews, Mrs. Bob Zeh and Charles Whitehouse, Louisville, Mrs. Joe Fowler, Mrs. Ray Burress, and James Whitehouse, Lebanon, Mrs. Ed Hogan, Bradfordsville, Mrs. Wendell Overstreet, Greenfield, Ind., Mrs. Sammy Glasscock and Mrs. Leonard Jackson, Perryville, Mrs. John Raney, Ft. Meyer, Fla. and Thomas Roberts of Houston, Texas. The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bosley Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Morrison and burial was in the Lebanon National Cemetery. Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
