Mrs. L. L. Lee, Dodson, died Saturday around 5:30 p.m. at a convalescent home in Monroe following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Dodson Methodist Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. G. A. Morgan of Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Transport Cemetery near Dodson under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Glenn Pine, Dallas, Texas; her husband, L. L. Lee, Dodson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be all nephews of the deceased.

DODSON, May 16 (Special) — The funeral of Mrs. L. L. Lee, well known resident here, took place in the Dodson Methodist church Sunday afternoon. Her death was the climax of a serious accident at Christmas time in 1953 when her clothing was ignited from a heater. She had never recovered from the effects of this experience.
The Dodson Methodist church is regarded as a monument to this devout woman whose indefatiguable efforts were exerted in its erection. Her contribution was the first one when the drive for funds was initiated, and she aided in raising the sum required. The site also was largely secured through her efforts. When the building was erected she was active in getting funds for its furnishing.
In connection with her religious life, Mrs. Lee served as Sunday school superintendent, teacher, church secretary, quarterly conference secretary and many times was delegate to the annual church conference. Her name was widely known through Methodist circles in northeast Louisiana.
Rev. G. A. Morgan of Hodge, a former pastor officiated, assisted by Rev. L. G. Shaw and Rev. Clyde Averette. Interment was in Transport cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, L. L. Lee; a daughter, Mrs. Glen Pine, Dallas, Tex.; two grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.
