James "Jim" Bolin Allen, 72, of Batesville, AR, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at his home. He was born July 20, 1934 in Bethesda, AR, the son of William D. Allen and Stella Stewart Allen.

After thirty-eight years, he retired from Affiliated Foods and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Batesville, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-eight years, Barbara Allen of Batesville, AR; son, Robert Allen of Batesville, AR; daughters, Debra Lindsey of Oil Trough, AR, Melissa Everidge of Bradford, AR. and Kim Camp of Opelousas, LA; brother, Andrew Allen of Independence, MO; sisters, Goldie Imler of Stevensville, MI, Angie Lee Ellis of San Bernardino, CA, Lois Johnson of El Dorado Springs, MO and Patricia Hutchinson of Sulphur Rock, AR; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Hall Cemetery in Rayville, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA. Funeral services were also held 10:00 AM, Monday, July 24, 2006, at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Batesville, AR with Rev. Bobby Shepherd and Rev. Dennis Killman officiating they were under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service in Batesville, AR.

Pallbearers in Batesville, AR were Jason Stoner, Tim Everidge, Travis Everidge, Dale Staggs, Ray Adcock and Chad Eppinette. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Lackey Moody, Dr. Hunter Brown and Dr. John Lambert.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 212, Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
