Edwin Mills, 81, a native of Clinton and former Kenney resident, died Aug. 15 in St. Joseph's Hospital at Belvidere. Mr. Mills left Kenney at Christmas time to be with his son, Loren, who is a teacher in Belvidere High School.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Pullen Boos Chapel in Clinton with Rev. Paul Enabnit officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Mills was born Sept. 29, 1880 in Clinton, a son of Zack and Mary Lane Mills. He married Florence V. Peng on Nov. 13, 1902 in Clinton.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth of Oregon; Ralph of Kenney; Loren of Belvidere; a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Winegarz, Lincoln; three brothers, Ivan and Mont, Clinton; Frank, California; ten grandchildren.
He was a member of the Bethel Christian Church of Deerfield, Mo.
