Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Walton, 73, of Midway, who died Saturday at her home, were held at 1 pm Tuesday in the Pilgrim's Rest church with Rev. Opie Hartgrave officiating. Mrs. Walton, who was born Feb. 13,1883, in Douglas County, Mo., was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Sallee Pendleton. In 1899 she was married to George Walton, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Missionary Baptist church, and was a lifetime resident of this area.
Survivors include three sons, William, Floyd and Lloyd; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Stafford of Route 3, and Mrs. Mable Trivitt of Lakeview; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Pilgrim's Rest cemetery.
Roller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
