Funeral Services for William Wesley Walton, 63, of Bakersfield, Calif., a former resident of Baxter County, were conducted Tuesday at the Mountain Home Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Johnie Hale of Mountain Home officiating.
Mr. Walton, a farm laborer, and maintenance worker, died at Bakersfield last Saturday. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Lester Pearce and William Walton of the Pilgrim's Rest community near Mountain Home and Wesley Walton of Bakersfield; a daughter, Ellen Fay Elkins of Woodridge, Va.; two brothers, Floyd and Loyd Walton, and two sisters, Mrs. Nora Stafford and Mrs. Mable Trivitt, all of the Mountain Home area; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Walton was born in Baxter County on August 2, 1904, and was the son of the late George W. Walton and Amanda Pentlon Walton. He had lived in California for 15 years.
Interment was in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery under the direction of the McClure Service.
Pallbearers were Rudolph Baker, Keith Stafford, Allen Walton, Arlie Stafford, Charles Blair, and Robert Partee.
