Departed this life, near Moore's Store, Shenandoah County, Va., on April12, 1879.
Mrs. Hannah Lloyd; aged 77 years, 6 months, 27 days.
Thus another mother in Israel, old and full of years, is gathered home to the sepulchres of her fathers.
In her infancy, she was initiated into the kingdom of Grace through the ordiance of Holy Baptism; and at a more mature age after having been properly instructed in the doctrines of the church, and duties pertaining to the Christian life, she entered into full communion with the Evangelical Luthern Church through the Rite of Confirmation; and during her long life, she was regular in attending the services of the Sanctuary, true, faithful and devoted to the church of her choice. During her last illness she expressed herself ready, and willing, to leave this vale of tears, and to go to that better land above.
She leaves a very large family of children, and grand-children, together with a very large circle of friends to mourn for her; but they have every reason to believe and hope that their loss is her eternal gain.
That she was highly esteemed, was evident from the very large concourse of people assembled at her funeral services.
