A native of Granville County, the daughter of James A. Adcock Sr. and the late Willie Lee Riggan Adcock. She was a member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church and worked for Leggett's Department Store for many years and a teacher's assistant in the Wee School Program at Oxford Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Saturday at Tabbs Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Lemar Wheeler and Dr. Steve Bolton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving in addition to her father are her husband, Herbert L. OAKLEY Sr. of the home, two sons, Herbert L. OAKLEY Jr. and wife Wendy of Oxford, James Andy OAKLEY and wife Angela of Oxford, four brothers, James A. Adcock Jr. of Mechanicville, Va., Larry E. Adcock, Ray Adcock , Richard "Dickie" Adcock, all of Oxford and four grandchildren.
