A native of Granville County, the widower of Willie Lee Riggan ADCOCK and the son of the late Robert Wesley and Bessie Murray ADCOCK. He was a former deacon, the longest active member of the Oxford Baptist Church and employed by Yancey Chevrolet Co for thirty-six years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14th at Oxford Baptist Church by Dr. Steven Bolton and Rev. Bob Wainwright. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are four sons, JAMES A. ADCOCK Jr.(Pricilla), Larry K. ADCOCK(Minnie) ADCOCK, Ray E. ADCOCK(Faye), all of Oxford, Richard R. ADCOCK of Kittrell, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A daughter, Patricia A. Oakley and a great grandson, Brian Kirby preceded him in death.
