Mrs. Lidia Swartzfager died at the Oil City hospital at 3 o'clock Friday morning and her son, Ralph Swartzfager died at the home of his wife's father, George Laufer, near Pine City shortly afterward. Mrs. Swartzfager, who was 78 years of age died following an operation at the Oil City hospital. She ____ the operation and was thought to be on the way to a speedy recovery when complications due to her advanced age developed. Her husband, John Swartzfager, preceded her in death six years ago.
The body was removed to the Faller undertaking establishment at Fryburg on Friday evening. The deceased was taken to the home at Pine City where services will be held at 9:30 o'clock this morning. Interment will be in the Perry Chapel cemetery near Pine City.
Ralph Swartzfager aged 42 years was a ___ for the past year and one-half, his malady causing a total blindness [?] about six months ago. He leaves his wife and a three-month old son. Funeral services will be held in the Lutheran church at Venus this afternoon at 2:__ o'clock."
