A native and lifelong resident of Tyler County, he was retired from the Woodville Independent School District and was a self-employed farmer.
Survivors include his son, J. B. Durham of Chester, sister, Beatrice Lee of Woodville, one grandchild, three step grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three step great-grandchildren.
