Ida's date of birth as shown is correct. She was the daughter of Thomas Levi and Ella Pack Kimsey. Ida and her father along with seven siblings migrated from Ducktown, Polk, TN in 1908 after mother Ella died. Her father Thomas Levi initially settled the family at Mark, OK in Mayes County. (Mark once existed approximately three west of Locust Grove.) Ida married Jesse Lee Caldwell 24 Nov 1910 at Locust Grove. To this marriage, children Oren Lee and Gladys were born, both at at Locust Grove, Mayes, OK. Following Jesse Lee's death in 1923, Ida married Walter Lawson on 21 February, 1925. Their one child Mary Ellen was born 29 Nov 1925. Ida and Walter later divorced, likely because he would not work.

Ida's actual date if birth was 4 Nov 1894.She always insisted it was 1896 but records prove otherwise.
