James Withers Wallace married Martha Carolyn Lamberton on 27 June 1920 in Harrison, Boone Co., Arkansas.

In the early 1900's he helped his father and brothers proving a claim in Hooker, Ok. He worked as a appliance man at Schimidt hardware. During World War II he worked at the Gerber Mill as a engineer. He worked in the oil fields and for the railroad he also had mining interests near Joplin, MO.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters; Jean, Elizabeth and Georgia; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
