Services for Lexie V Tyler, 68, of Crutchfield Lane, Paris Route 3, were scheduled for 11 AM today at McEvoy Funeral Home with Gary S Collier and Dale Gallimore officiating. Burial was to be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden.
Named as pallbearers were Steve, Hugh, and Jeff Tyler, Dorris Ross, Danny Clark, Kenneth Steele and Barry and Weldon Stephens.
Tyler, former owner of Tyler Jewelry Store, died Friday at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga.
A native Henry Countian, he was born Nov. 26, 1917, son of the late Walter V and Betty Steverson Tyler. He was married Sept 21, 1940, to the former Violet Stephens, who survives. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a disabled Army veteran of World War II, a member of the DAV and a former member of Paris Civitan Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Lexie Donald Tyler of Chattanooga; four sisters, Mrs. Luby Ross of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Lucille Sayre, Mrs. Imogene Steele and Mrs. Melva Clark, all of Paris; a brother, Harlon Tyler of Independence; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, John W and Clatus Tyler, preceded him in death.
