Lillian Phyllis Fournier, 88, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Chinook, MT at Sweet Nursing Home due to natural causes.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30, Tuesday July 8, 2008 at the St. Gabriel Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with rosary recited on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 7 p.m. at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Friday, July 11, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with a prayer service at 7 P.M.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 11 AM in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Terrebonne, Minnesota. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook, MT and Johnson Funeral Service of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota.
Lillian was born September 27, 1919 to Leonard and Ettea (Peterson) Brekke in Plummer, MN. She was raised there and graduated from Pershing High School. Lillian married Keough R. Fournier on August 19, 1942 in Terrebonne, Minnesota. They lived in Kelso, Washington for a few years before returning to Minnesota in 1946 to farm. In the 1960's Lillian worked for the Artic Cat Enterprise in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother. When her husband's health failed they sold the family farm and moved to Chinook to be with their son Keough, Jr. Lillian loved the Chinook Senior Citizens Center, enjoyed walking, gardening, yard work, family, friends and life.
She is survived by her son Keough Fournier, Jr. of Chinook, granddaughter Kimberly (Jay) Lebahn of Great Falls, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers LeRoy (Lila) Brekke of Phoenix, AZ, Joe Brekke of Minneapolis, MN, sister Delores Donarski of Grand Forks, ND, Ruth Perreault of Bellingham, WA, Vivian Brekke of Thief River Falls, MN, Gail Brekke of Plummer, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keough Fournier in 1999, brother Donald Brekke.
