Mrs. L.J. Gandy, wife of Mr. Brinkley Gandy,
passed away at her home in this county, near McDonald, yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. Quietly the end came, and those around her watched the light of life burn lower and lower and finally go out. The sands of time had run slowly for Mrs. Gandy. She had reached the age of seventy-six years. Another link that binds the present and the past is broken. Mr. Gandy, who survives his wife is eighty-six. They had celebrated their golden wedding eight years ago. The deceased leaves ten children, thirty- five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gandy has been a consistent and devout member of the Methodist church since 1832. In the shadow of the great ___ ___ (two words illegible) one, she has reached the journey's end. Funeral and interment today.
