Effie Mae Adams
Mrs Effie mae Adams, 78,, of 1205 N. Smelter, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Carmel Medical Center where she was admitted a month ago. She had been in poor health the past year.
She was born July 13, 1897, in Midway Kansas, the daughter of John and Lotty Redman Musso. She had lived in WestMineral for many years befor coming to Pittsburg in 1948.
She was married to John W. Adams in 1914, He died in 1947.
She was a member of Charity Chapter No. 153 Order of the Eastern Star in Scammon.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs John turkington, Route 1, McCune; two sons, Gerald Adams, Belleville, Ill., and Wayne Adams, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; one sister,Mrs Florence Dainty, Route 1; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandechildren. One son, Lawrence (Sparky) Adams, died in 1959.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday in the Brenner Chapel with the Rev. William Deckinger officiating. Burial will be in Mt Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in the Brenner Chapel.
