Mrs. Wood was born Sept. 24, 1931, in Webster County to Rufus and Ola Bell Fondren. She was operator of Colonial Toys (a clothing store) in Sidon for a number of years. She was a longtime member of Sidon Baptist Church before recently moving to First Baptist in Tchula.
Survivors include a daughter, Fonda Davidson of Tchula; a son, James Wood of Sidon; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Wood.
Services were Nov. 12 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood with burial in Eupora City Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Edwards officiated.
Pallbearers were James Davidson, Richard Davidson, Matt Howell, Dale Morgan, Jeff Reeves, Tony Reeves and Bruce Walters.
