Helen Genevra Cross, 86, of Warrensburg died 12:45 p.m. Friday (Aug. 27, 1999) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown.
Mrs. Cross was born in Boody on October 18, 1912, the daughter of Irvin Lee and Esther Sophia (Furstenberg) Burks. She was a member of Warrensburg United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Club. She married Charles Everett Cross in 1936 in Long Creek, IL. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1995.
Surviving are her daughter, Judy Smith and husband Leslie "Leck" of Argenta; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Burks of Mt. Pulaski; Floyd Burks of Decatur; Elmo Burks of Burlinson, TX.;sisters, Zelma Hursh of Warrensburg; Norma Knop of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
