OBITUARY: "Dan Blake Sr., 77, Akron, died Thursday at the Akron hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

He was born Nov. 15, 1892, at Warrensburg, Missouri, and came to Akron at age 9. He married Hazel Barrington September 6, 1911, in Sioux City, Iowa.

He was an Akron Policeman for many years until retiring in 1966.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Dan Jr., and Kenneth, of Akron; four daughters, Mrs. Arnold Emrich and Mrs. Lucille Kenny of Lynwood, Washington, Mrs. Cecil Brunemeir of Nevada, Iowa, and Mrs. Scott Thompson of Wayne, Nebraska; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Blake of Zimmerman, Minnesota, and a sister, Mrs. Cliff Spense in California.
