Margaret was the daughter of Leonard & Mary (Shepler) Eckstein and was probably born in Frederick County, Virginia. She first married Peter Stipp in about 1780. She then married Benjamin Shipman in Frederick County in 1786. Finally, she married Daniel Keller, probably in Hampshire County, Virginia, around 1800.
