NOVEMBER 13. 2023. I WILL WELCOME A REQUEST TO TRANAFER THIS MEMORIAL TO ANY MEMBER OF MR. DAVIS' FAMILY. HE HAS BEEN CONFUSED WITH MY RELATIVE, BUT IN FACT, I AM NOT RELATED TO HIM. HE DESERVES NO LESS THAN PROPER IDENTIFICATION.

This Soldier was a member of the 207th Pennsylvania Infantry,Company C, U.S. Army. (The headstone pictured is not his. His stone Number is 2929) He has been confused with James Madison Davis, of Georgia which is incorrect. I am in the process of an attempt to properly identify him and post his own information. Dates, Name, Stone number, and military unit comes from his War Department record from the U,S, Government. who first posted his memorial,
