At the age of fifteen she joined the Christian Church. In October 1865, she was married to our well-known citizen, R.P. Glass, and leaves four children, three sons and one daughter.
The funeral was conducted by the pastor of the Christian Church in Chico, of which she was a respected and beloved member. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge in Chico. The members of that order consigned her body to rest with appropriate ceremonies.
She leaves the record of a glad and loving life. Always faithful in duty to all, family, friends and God, she beckons all to a higher plane of living.
Peace be to her ashes; her soul is gone to its bright reward a crown bestowed for faithfulness, purity and charity.
