Mabel Bergerson, 95 of Fosston, MN formerly of Gully, MN died on Saturday, July 10, 1999 at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston. Arrangements with Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 1999 at 10:00 AM in Lund Lutheran Church in Gully, MN with Reverend Robert Rains Officiating. Burial will be held in the Bethany Church Cemetery near Gully.

Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5 – 8 PM with a 7:30 PM prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Oklee and also one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Mabel Alvina Bergerson was born August 16, 1903 in Johnson Township, Polk County, MN daughter of Martin and Karen (Bergh) Sweno where she was raised and attended rural School. Mabel worked on her parent's farm until her marriage to Bennie Bergerson on June 9, 1930 in Crookston, MN. The couple lived, farmed and raised livestock in Johnson Township all of their lives. Bennie passed away on October 11, 1975, Mabel resided on the farm until entering the Nursing Home in January of 1998 where she lived until her death.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, knitting, always had a big garden from which she canned and will be remembered for her homemade bread. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid and also a neighborhood birthday club.
Mabel is survived by her children, Kenneth (Evelyn) Bergerson of Gully, MN; Melfred Bergerson of Oklee, MN; Duane (Leona) Bergerson of Gully, MN; Glenn (Crystal) Bergerson of Gully, MN; Floyd Bergerson of Gully, MN; Melvyn Bergerson of Oklee, MN; Marlyce (Richard) Kerr of Whitney, TX; Corrine Bergerson of Young America, MN and Delores (Glenn) Peterson of Grand Forks, ND. 23 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. One brother Carl (Naiome) Sweno of Lebanon, MO. Several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Parents, an infant son, 2 grandsons Kenny and Kevin, one brother Henry Sweno and one sister Inga Johnson.
