Born to Pearlie Warren and Jesse DuBose Sr., Mr. DuBose received his early education in the South Carolina school system and for a number of years lived in Durham, NC and in Connecticut. In the 1960s he left a thriving billiard business and moved to Detroit. He worked for the Rider Truck Company, Superior Oldsmobile and General Motors. As a man of many talents who possessed a strong mind for business, he established his own commercial tire changing and truck washing business. Mr. DuBose was not only an entrepreneur and a servant of God, he was a true outdoors man who loved working in his yard. He also established his own snow removal and lawn service businesses.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Tracy Hardy; a grandaughter, Uniqua Troutman; a brother, David DuBose, and many other relatives.
