A James Island man died early yesterday of injuries received Wednesday (4/13)night when a truck he was driving crashed into a utility pole on Fort Johnson Road.
Harry Leroy Carrigg, 27, of James Island died at the Medical college Hospital of muliple injuries.
Mr. Carrigg was the son of Harry L. Carrigg and Thelma Hutto Carrigg Reed. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are, his mother, his widow Deloris Sanders Carrigg, four brothers, Glen L. of Charleston, Heywood of John's Island, eugene of Ft. Lewis, Washington and Wayne of John's Island; two sisters Mrs. Margaret Chavis of John's Island and Mrs. Rose Cochran of John's Island.
Funeral services will take [place at 4p.m. today at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel with Rev. Norman E. Gillespie Officiatijng. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Tsadore Sanders, Pat Sanders, Ernie McAllister, Robert Singletary, Thomas Harley and E.M. Salters.
