A retired Marine Corps master sergeant, Mr. Aiken enlisted shortly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and served in the South Pacific throughout World War II. He distinguished himself in combat on Tarawa . He also served in Korea and in Vietnam before he retired in 1970.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; a son, Kevin; a daughter, Anna-Marie; two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 1:45 p.m. tomorrow at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
