The death occurred at Woodville on Wednesday of Mrs J. E. Dew (nee Miss Dolly Spackman), wife of Mr Thomas Dew, at the age of 62 years. Mrs Dew was a sister of Mr E. H. Spackman, of Lansdowne and formerly resided in Masterton

The deceased lady who was 62 years of age, had been ailing for several days. The late Mrs Dew was well known in the disrict, having resided in Woodville for a long period. She was of a very kindly disposition and her passing was mourned by a large circle of friends. The members of the family are her husband, three sons: Reginald of Feilding, Norman of Woodville and Eustace of Hastings and two daughters, Mrs R. Adams of New Plymouth and Florence, Woodville.
