Charles H. Parker, 86, a retired truck driver for City of Winona, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.

Visitation was held Friday, December 26, 2008, from 5 pm until 8 pm at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona, MS. Funeral services are 10 am today at Oliver Funeral Home chapel in Winona, MS with burial in the Scotland Cemetery in Winona. Oliver Funeral Home in Winona is handling the arrangements.

He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and a member of Scotland Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late James Epps and Homie Amanda Johnson Parker.

Survivors include: his wife, Pauline Parker of Winona; daughter, Homie Holly of Vaiden; son, Harris Parker of Holcomb; sister, Montyne Turner of Aubrey, TX; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be sent to Vaiden Baptist Church or Gideons International.
