Mr. Blazek was bom Aug. 16, 1895, near Prescott to Ed and Anna Murda Blazek. He died July 31, 1988, at his home. He was a fanner near Williamson all his life. He married Naomi Fisher March 8, 1922, in Creston and she preceded him in death June 27, 1981. He was a member of the Williamson American Legion Post 791, Adams County ASC, was a secretary of the local school board, township trustee, draft board member during World War II and a former Adams County supervisor.
He was preceded in death by three children, Charles Blazek Jr. and wife, Margaret in 1956, LeRoy Blazek in 1960 and Barbara (Mrs. Vern Maeder in 1979; brother, Joe and sister, Albena Young.
Survivors include three daughters, Clarine Fleming and husband. Les of Runnells, Betty Maeder and husband, Earl of rural Creston, and Coleen Reha and husband, Richard of Omaha, Neb.; son, Edward B. Blazek and wife, Marilyn of rural Prescott; 19 grandchildren including Ronald Blazek who was raised by his grandparents; 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Rudolph Blazek of Prescott: and sister, Lilly Gibson of Corning.
Memorials may be directed to the Williamson American Legion Post 791 and the Prescott Volunteer Fire Department.
