Young Mother Of Large Family Buried Monday.

TRIDELL (Special) -- Ethel Glines Harvey of Tridell died April 10, at 2 o'clock a.m. at a Vernal hospital, from complications following an operation for appendicitis that had been performed two days previously. Her condition following the operation had been unusually favorable and her recovery was confidently expected. About three weeks before the operation she had suffered consideable pain at intervals and twice she had been taken to Roosevelt. for medical attention and finally an operation was deemed necessary.

The funeral rites were held at the Tridell Chapel Monday under the direction of the Tridell Ward bishopric. The chapel had been beautifully decorated and a profusion of floral offerings were in evidence. Music was rendered by a mixed chorus. The invocation was offered by Elder Thomas J. Ellingford and the benediction by J .R. McKee. The speakers were Elders Wallace Johnson of Vernal, W. D. Morrill, President H. W. Colton and Bishop H, LeRoy Morrill.

The grave was dedicated by Elder Bruce Harvey. The pallbearers were the three brothers of the deceasesed, Joseph, Harvey and Charles Glines, also John, Bruce and Bernal Harvey.

Mrs. Mary L. Glines, mother of the deceased, was taken from the hospital at Salt Lake City, where she recently underwent a serious operation, and had to be carried in and out of the chapel.

Relatives from distant places who were present included Mrs. Jane Cook of Provo; Mrs. Eliza Bigler, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Bernal Harvey, Fairview; Mrs. Mary Glines, Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Glines of Farm Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Glines, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hacking and Mr. and Mrs. John S. Hacking.

Ethel Glines Harvey, daughter of George A. and Mary Lindquist Glines was born at Vernal, July 5, 1900. While she was still a child the family moved to Tridell and became pioneers in this community. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple to James B. Harvey on August 24, 1918. To this union was born nine children, eight of whom are still living. They are: Helen, 15; Jay, 13; Dennis, 12; Zona, 10; Elma, 8; Orson, 6; Wallace, 3 and George, a babe six months of age. Her surviving brothers and sisters are Jospeh, James Harvey and Charles Henry Glines, all of Tridell and Mrs. William Cook of Provo.

During her entire life she was an active church worker. For 20 years she served as a Relief Society teacher and for a long term she filled the positions of teacher and secretary in the ward Primary association, She was also a Bee Keeper in the Mutual.
