She was a homemaker, family caretaker, massage therapist (many people would come from different cities to have her healing hands touch them). Her garden always bloomed with the most beautiful flowers that words cannot express. Her encouraging words of faith changed many lives. She was always ready to pray for any one in need. Through the many hardships in her life, she remained strong and never lost her faith. She was a fighter, a very strong woman, and the type of person to put others in front of her. Mommy was loved by everyone who had the opportunity to be part of her life.
She was survived by her son, Ramon Vigil, and daughter-in-law Nellie Rigales Vigil from Las Cruces, the following grandchildren from Las Cruces; granddaughter Ernestina Fischer and husband Sean Fischer, grandson Ramon Vigil, Jr. and companion Christina Ramos, grandson Santiago "James" Vigil and companion Carmen Rincon Serrano. Mommy shared many kisses and hugs with her great grandson, Jeremiah Hinojosa-Vigil and great granddaughter Jocelin Raelynn Vigil. She was also survived by her brother, Manuel Angel Castaneda from Anahua, Mexico and nieces Rosa Ivon, Martha Sorida, Maribel, Patricia, Mari Cruz (goddaughter), Juanita and nephews David, JoseJuan, Angel Manuel and many great nieces and great nephews. She was also survived by many honorary friends and family. Let's not forget about her very best friend, her little Chihuahua Kitana "Chiquita" who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Luis Hermino Arteaga and her soul mate, Frank G. Vigil.
