NELL M. JOHNSON
Nell Marjorie Carr was born Aug. 2, 1897, to Luther and Alice Carr on a ranch southeast of Springview and died at her home in Springview on Sept. 19. She was 83.
At the age of seven she moved with her family to Idaho by covered wagon. Due to her mother's ill health, the family returned within the year to a ranch five miles north of Springview where she grew to womanhood.
She was married to Henry Johnson, Oct. 4, 1916, and to them four daughters were born. They lived on a ranch north of Springview until his death in 1972. Shortly there after she moved to Springview.
She was much loved by all who knew her and her family always came first in her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one sister, and two brothers.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Lucile) Linse; Mrs. Cecil (Margie) Williams, both of Springview; Mrs. Don (Lois) Steinke, Casper, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Leslie C. Johnson, Corona De Mar, Ca.; Mrs. Frank (Alma) Sloan, Springview; Mrs. Doris Sloan, Atkinson.
Services were held Sept. 22 at the Springview Auditorium with the Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. Music was provided by Howard Carr, Norman Nelson, Ceile Ripley, Mrs. Doris Weddel, accompanist. Pallbearers were Rodney Billings, Dale Luse, Alan Steinke, Glen Linse, Terry Luse, Bill Steinke. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Springview.
