Connie Arndt - MOUNT CARMEL
Connie Blevins Arndt, 61, of Mount Carmel, went to be home with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at her residence.
She was born in Smyth County, VA (Marion). Connie was employed at Blue Ridge Medical Management of Mountain States Health Alliance as a Practice Administrator. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist church on Bloomingdale Pike in Kingsport.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Salyers Blevins; and infant brother, Mark, and another brother, Dennis Blevins.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Arndt, of the home; two daughters, Kristi Schorr and husband, Rob, of Dallas, GA, and Kolbi Arndt, of Kingsport; a son, Tim Cox and wife, Tracy, of Knoxville; seven grandchildren, Cassie Cox, Chaz Cox, Kole Schorr, Jenna Brooke Cox, Courtney Cox, Kenzie Schorr and Zachary Schorr; her sister, Kimberly Williams and husband, Mark, of Cocoa Beach, FL; two brothers, Richard Blevins, of Mt. Carmel, and Jeff Blevins and wife, Sandy, of Marion, VA; a "special sister," Frances Smith; and her loving pet, Bode.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday (December 21, 2008) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill, 1115 Hwy 11W, Church Hill.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday (December 22, 2008) in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Millard Porter and Dr. Cecil Sturgill officiating. Music will be provided by Steve Hutton. Burial will follow in Church Hill Memory Gardens, Church Hill, TN.
Pallbearers will be Ron Arndt, Brian Blevins, Tom Wayt, Joe Robinett, Rob Schorr and Simon Kelley
