Paul W. Phillips 78, Noblesville, formerly of Indianapolis, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006. He was a bus driver for 15 years for Metro before becoming a dispatcher and retired in 1982. After retirement, he became a cashier for Kroger, 96th & Meridian St. Paul served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Logan Masonic Lodge 575 F & A.M., Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, American Legion #777, Sahara and Local Union 1070. Survivors include his wife, Anna M. (Burton) Phillips; daughters Paula D. (Bill) Best and Marcia K. Pettit; sons David W. Phillips and Ronald D. Phillips; granddaughter Melissa R. (Chris) Crescenti; brothers Lloyd D. and Rick L. Phillips; sister Patricia Abbott; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Washington Park North with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006.
