"Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm Monday in St, Michael Church in Canfield for Elizabeth "Betty" Byers of Canfield who passed away Thursday evening in Austinwoods Care Center. Betty was born in Campbell the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Zetts) Eperjese. She was a member of the church and its Altar Guild. Betty also enjoyed baking. Betty leaves her husband of more than 57 years, Robert C. Byers Sr., whom she married September 13, 1947, two children: Frances Langdon of Salem and Robert C. (Linda) Byers Jr. of Girard, one sister Eleanor Lapin of California, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by a son Ronald Byers, three sisters Mary Semko, Anna Brayer, and Helen Kovach and a brother Steve Eperjese. Family and friends may call from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the St. Michael Church Altar Guild in Betty's name."
