Wife of James Hunter Spurlock and daughter of Ambrose Chapman and Elizabeth Sarah (Griggs) Chapman.

Mrs. Emily Spurlock has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives Virtual Vault. She says she married James H. Spurlock in 1856. He enlisted in 1862 in Schley Co, GA and served with Company B of the 46th GA Vols until his unit surrendered in Raleigh, N. C.
She says he died in Ty ty, GA in 1898.
