Lydia Brainerd was born on June 29, 1780 AD to John Brainerd and Anna (Smith) Brainerd in East Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut.
She married James Brockway on October 27, 1803 AD in Connecticut. They moved to Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, United States of America where they lived. After the death of James from Spotted Fever, (Today is known as a form of Meningitis caused by Meningococal bacteria.) she took his body back to her hometown to be buried.
Lydia died on February 22, 1834 AD in East Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut, at age 53 years, 7 months, and 24 days old. She was buried in East Haddam, Middlesex Co. CT.
James and Lydia had two children, Joseph Brainard Brockway (b. May 25, 1805 AD - d. Sep 25, 1851 AD) and (m) Baby Brockway (b. 1807 AD - d. unk).
