HUNTINGTON HERALD DISPATCH
Mr. Cline G. Blankenship, 97, of 4274 Prices Creek Road, Huntington, W.Va., died Sunday, August 21, 1988, at the residence of his son Richard Blankenship of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Crooks Chapel Church by the Rev. Ralph Houck and the Rev. Leslie Call. Burial will be in Crook Cemetery. He was born June 15, 1891, in Cabell County, a son of the late Reece and Mary Dillon Blankenship. He was a retired dairyman and farmer, and was a member of Crook Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Lee Dodson Blankenship, on March 17, 1985; two sons, Gene and Keith Blankenship, one grandson, James E. Blankenship; two sons-in-law, Ben F. Seitz and Cecil Russell; and four brothers and one sister. surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ben (Catherine) Seitz and Mrs. Cecil (Sue) Russell, and two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Shirley and Robert Waugh and Mrs. Mary E. and William Gibson of Fairborn, Ohio; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Virginia Blankenship, Robert and Marie Blankenship of Glenwood, W.Va., and Jack and Arlene Blankenship; one daughter-in-law, Frances Blankenship; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kincaid-Mann Mortuary, Huntington. The body will be taken to the church one hour before services.
