"Nephi M. Hardy 1919-2005
Nephi M. Hardy, of Willcox died at home on June 24, 2005, at the age of 85.
He was born in Tucson on August 30, 1919, to Wilford and Clara (Bingham) Hardy.
Nephi was a lifelong resident of Arizona and has resided in Willcox since 1954, where he farmed in the Stewart District.
Nephi was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Willcox 1st Ward.
On August 22, 1941, in Tucson he married Helen Grissinger.
Survivors include his wife Helen of Willcox; sons Kent (Carol) of Willcox, and Gary (Ida) of Thatcher; and daughter Linda Weber of Willcox; along with six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his sisters Rowena Stephens and Myrtle (Waldo) Bloodworth, both of Tucson, and Aurelia (Rey) Nelson of Queen Creek; and his brother Robert (Betty) of Flagstaff.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at the Willcox LDS Church with viewing held one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Charles Wm. Leighton Jr. Hospice, Inc., 319 W. Grant, Willcox, Ariz., 85643.
Services were under the direction of Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematorium of Willcox."
