Charlotte Jane Druley (Rodefer) Cochran , age 76, of Eaton, Ohio, died Dec. 14, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio. Born on Jan. 13, 1932 in Preble County, she was the daughter of Raymond and Bertha (Karcher) Druley and was the sibling of Norma Henn and Shiela Druley. After graduating from Eaton High School in 1950, she married and resided in Eaton. Having three children; Carolyn Smith-Wall, Lloyd Rodefer and Sharon (Tom) Jackson, all of Ohio, she worked at Westvaco until she retired in 1992 after working 36 years. In 1965 she remarried Robert Cochran (deceased) and, still residing in Eaton, lived down the street from Crystal Lake where she would walk her grand-daughters to feed the ducks. She has six grand-daughters; Charlotte Christine Smith, Wendy Smith, Amanda (Doug) Crowe, Tosha Jackson, Teah Jackson and Tesina Jackson, and two great-grand-children Corey and Brittany Nelson, all of Ohio. She was a member of the American Cancer Society since 1990 and was a long term member of the New Hope United Methodist Church.

Charlotte is survived by, not only her family, but everyone that she has met throughout her years. There wasn't a single person who didn't touch her heart in some way. She always ran into someone she knew where ever she went and she always had a story to tell about someone. When she wasn't traveling across the country or attending an Alan Jackson concert, she always took the time out of her day to visit with someone, attend graduations, athletic events, church functions, parades and weddings of family members and people of the community. When she was home her phone was always busy but it would be worse around Thanksgiving when people would call her to hear her famous turkey gobble and then in December when she would imitate barking dogs to the theme Jingle Bells. Charlotte was a remarkable and loving mother and grandmother and she will be in everyone's heart.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 18, 2008 with the Pastor Ray Sowder officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
