Last Rites Thursday For A. T. Denison

Alpha Thomas Denison, 80, died Tuesday, March 6, 1962, in Risser Hospital, Bonham, following an illness of one month.

Funeral services were scheduled Thursday, March 8, 1962, in McKenzie Methodist Church, with the Rev. Walter Sullens officiating, assisted by the Rev. T. J. Watts. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home directing.

Born in the Selfs community, January 15, 1882, a son of Robert and Ella Pitts Denison.

Mr. Denison was a member of McKenzie Methodist Church.

He was first married to Miss Mattie Howell, who passed away in 1916.

On Nov. 3, 1923, he married Miss Minnie Burkett.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. A. T. Denison of Honey Grove; a son, George Denison of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Ted Newhouse of Honey Grove and Mrs. Tom Williams of Wolfe City; two brothers, Alcy Denison and Will Denison, both of Honey Grove; a sister, Mrs. Otis Hindman of Buffalo, Texas; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Named pallbearers were J. T. Stevens, D. R. Black, Floyd Burgess, Pat Pebley, Buddy Christian and Pee Wee Reed.
