Mrs. Myers, 69, was born on Jan. 2, 1905, in Centralia, Okla. Her parents were Samuel and Lillie Pilkington Cortner.
She grew to womanhood in the Dewey, Okla. area. She and William Henry (Will) Myers were married on Oct. 12, 1923. They lived south of Dennis for six years, then moved to Altamont. He died on June 27, 1972.
Mrs. Myers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altamont and the Grange.
She is survived by four sons, Ivan of Oswego, Ben of Dennis, Lester of Altamont and David of Mound Valley; four daughters, Mrs. Dale (Irene) Phillips of Dennis, Mrs. Jim (Esther) Jones of Cherokere, Mrs. Dale (Edna) Bamberry of Mound Valley and Mrs. Mike (Wanda) Reed of Altamont.
Three sisters, Mrs. Erma Evans and Mrs. Jesse Brady of Dewey and mrs. Pauline Rex of Healsburg, Calif; two brothers, Glen Cortner of Dewey and Lloyd Cortner of Panama City.
There are 31 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Myers raised one granddaughter, Mrs. Forrest (Faye) Tennyson of Oswego.
Six brothers and sisters,and a son, Douglas preceded he in death.
Arrangements are pending with the Sperry Funeral Home of Altamont.
